So it begins

In these stressful times, now people are returning to work, children returning to school and there is a feeling of general uncertainty, we need to be sure we are engaging in the present and not creating concerns to overwhelm us about a future that may never happen. Not throwing caution to the winds, but not allowing our fear of the possible future to remove the joy to be found in the present moment.

Mindfulness needs practice and I have been contemplating the best approach for businesses to allow their staff time to be aware of the present moment, encourage an attitude of curiosity and non-judgemental acceptance and support them in their stress management.

Key topics include enlightened leadership; practicing and engaging in the approach; encouraging discussion about emotional objectives in the workplace, not just task based ones; considering the value of diversity of personality; choosing the right medium to support the individual.
